The length of time for the expiration date or "best used before" date depends on the type of product, as well as the brand.
Perishable items (such as flax oils or certain probiotics) generally have shorter expiration dates. Although our warehouse is fully air-conditioned, these more fragile items are put in cold storage (freezer or refrigeration unit) for maximum freshness.
Our receiving department does its best to verify and then enter the correct expiration dates for all incoming products. However, discrepancies do occur from time to time. This being said, the exceptionally high turnover at iHerb ensures that our inventory is among the freshest in the industry.

Organic Chocolate Cake:
You will need:
2 eggs (or egg substitute)
1/2 cup canola oil (or 4 oz butter or Spectrum Canola Oil)
1 1/4 cup milk (or soy milk or water)
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly oil and flour 9"x 13" pan or two 8" or 9" round pans.
- Place wet ingredients in a medium mixing bowl, mix for approximately 2 minutes. Add cake mix and beat 2 to 3 minutes until well combined with a smooth texture.*
- Pour batter into pan(s). Bake for 20-24 minutes, or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.*
- Remove from oven and allow pan to cool on rack. If preparing a layer cake remove cake from pans and frost. Otherwise frost once cake has cooled. Enjoy!
* May need to adjust for high altitude-additional flour and extend baking time.
Organic enriched unbleached white flour (organic flour, niacin, reduced iron, thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), organic granulated evaporated cane juice, organic dutch cocoa, organic natural vanilla flavor, baking powder, sodium bicarbonate, sea salt, xanthan gum.

delicious and easy to prepare cake. I will order more! excellent!
I baked this as cupcakes at 175 degree Celsius in a fan forced oven and if you are careful about the timing, this tastes great and moist. Follow the instructions and keep mixing to a minimum. I just emptied the entire bag of dry ingredients at one shot into the oil/egg/milk mixture after they have been mixed for 2 minutes and kept mixing time short. Everyone loved it and I love how simple, quick and fuss free this is.
