The Coconut Secret Story

When both our parents learned they were diabetic, my brother and I were deeply inspired to search the world for pure, raw, truly delicious, low glycemic foods. We were rewarded and blessed beyond our expectations, in our discovery of the traditional products made from the sap of the wondrous coconut tree. It is our great joy to be able to share with you the gifts of these exceptional ingredients. —Leslie and Randy

Health Secrets of Coconut Aminos

When the coconut tree is tapped it produces a highly nutrient-rich "sap" that exudes from the coconut blossoms. This sap is very low glycemic, an abundant source of 17 amino acids, minerals, vitamins, and has a nearly neutral pH. A comparison between coconut tree sap and soy, shows that coconut sap contains 2-14 times the amino acid content of soy.

Our organic, Coconut Aminos made from this pure sap, is naturally aged with sun dried, mineral-rich sea salt, that is hand gathered from pristine waters near the southern islands of the Philippine coast, and contains only 113 mg of sodium per teaspoon.

Coconut Secret, Raw Coconut Aminos, Soy Free
Coconut Secret Raw Organic Coconut Aminos 237 ml Great on salads, pasta, meat, fish, especially sushi The Coconut Secret Vinegar is also very good and highly rich in vitamins, minerals and 17 amino acids. # Certified 100% Organic # GLUTEN-FREE # SOY-FREE # 17 Naturally Occurring AMINO ACIDS # Special Sun Dried, Mineral-Rich SEA SALT # DAIRY-FREE # VEGAN Coconut Aminos vs. Soy-based sauces Among the many nutritional benefits of the Coconut Aminos product, the most notable is its impressive amino acid content compared to soy-based sauces. Commonly described as the "building blocks of protein," amino acids are vitally important to human health. They contribute to the repair and rebuilding of muscle tissue, help to enhance overall brain and nervous system funciton, and assist in boosting the immune system and physical energy levels. Second only to water protein is on of the most important substances in our bodies which is why it is nutritionally beneficial to consume a diet that is rich in amino acids. A comparison between coconut tree sap and soy, shows that coconut sap contains up to 14 times the amino acid content of soy. Many soy sauces on the market are fermented by first soaking the soybeans in water and salt, and then adding specific cultures of molds, yeasts and bacteria to help catalyze the fermentation process. Coconut Aminos is made from coconut tree sap, which comes right out of the tree so vital, active and alive nutrients, that is only blending with our own sun dried mineral-rich sea salt and aged, without the need for a fermentation booster or added water. As well, the majority of conventional soy sauces on the market are made with non-organic, genetically modified (GMO) soybeans. Long term use of unfermented soy related products has led to an increase in soy allergies, a disruption in proper thyroid function, and an overload of estrogens in the body.

Awesome sauce!

We love using this sauce on everything. I use it to simmer meat in, but I always like to add more at the end for flavor. We use it in conjunction with the Teriyaki Sauce of the same brand and we will never go back to regular soy sauce. This sauce is not nearly as salty, but still retains great flavor and comes with the added benefit of knowing you're doing something HEALTHY for your body. This is the best price I've found it for too.

Excellent Product; Great Taste!

Posted by healthfirst on Aug 19, 2016

I have purchased many bottles of coconut amino's and this is my alternative to soy sauce. I don't find it overly salty and I use it in many things such as salad dressings, fruit bowls, and in some of my sautéing. I also bring it with me when I eat out for sushi since all they have is regular soy sauce.

I bought this sauce for my vegan love mein but had not really tasted a significant difference. Will try again in some other recipe before I decide if it's something that's really needed in my kitchen.

Substitute, not actual replacement for soy sauce

Posted by 5569980247127362216 on Aug 18, 2016

It's not as flavorful as the real thing. Unfortunately I didn't check the label for sugar before I ordered and was disappointed to find that this product contains 1g. I think I'll go back to using soy sauce instead. I wouldn't recommend buying this unless you have a soy allergy.
