Fighting retail prices one order at a time...

As you can see at left, I'm located in Australia. Australia is a first-world country, but the product availability is AWFUL. And, if you manage to even find what you're looking for, you pay three-to-four times as much for it. So, I'm sorry local shops, but if I can import bulk amounts from iHerb and pay less than buying individual quantities from you, then you've got a mark-up problem. Internet shopping isn't killing the retail industry-- your unrealistic prices are.

Erythritol is a strange beast.

It is a GREAT sugar substitute with a low glycemic impact, which is great for people watching their blood sugar levels, their weight, or simply looking for a sugar substitute for whatever reason. It's about 70% as sweet as sugar, so using it as a 1:1 replacement will lessen the sweetness of a recipe (which I like), however, too much of it gives a weird feeling in the mouth. It's a little bit cooling (almost numbing?)-- but that's only if you use A LOT of it (ie; in a sweet pie or cake). In small amounts, that effect is negligible.

It's a little hard to make claims about how well vitamins work

I mean, we are just consumers, not laboratories. However, I personally find that taking Iron supplements stops me from feeling lethargic during the day. 27mg is more than enough of a supplement for someone who consumes red meat in their diet, and the tablets are smooth-coated and small for easy swallowing. Also, at $3 for 110 tablets, this is a bargain.

A great way to sample flavours without committing to a huge bottle

The coconut and cinnamon one are great for flavouring baking and hot drinks. I'm yet to think of a good use for the peppermint one though. I tried it in some water and it was like drinking mouthwash, blech! Maybe in some hot chocolate for some choc-minty goodness...?

Not sure how to test efficacy of product on a consumer level

Basically I'm not sure how to quantify how well this product works, given that I'm a single consumer and not a laboratory. However, what I CAN say is that it's an excellent price for Biotin, and that the capsules are small and go down the hatch easily.

Uh... interesting fragrance

I use this in an oil diffuser to add a gentle room scent to my open living room/kitchen/dining area. It's a really interesting scent-- and I mean that in both a good sense, and a not-so good sense. The good-- it's powerful, spreads throughout the house and adds a pleasant scent to the air. The bad-- the scent is 'pleasant'. Not 'wonderful'. It's pleasant in the way a hospital waiting room smells pleasant. It's clean, inoffensive, and vaguely medicinal. I've no complaints about it, but I don't think I'll be buying it again. (Update: STRONGLY MEDICINAL SMELLING).

This product has me in tears (of joy)

I've very specific dietary needs-- low carb, and definitely no sugar. If I want a chocolate hit, it's unsweetened dark chocolate, and not a lot of it either. UNTIL I DISCOVERED THIS. Do you know how long it's been since I've been able to eat milk chocolate?! I'm pretty sure this stuff rained down from heaven. It tastes JUST LIKE MILK CHOCOLATE. It's so smooth and sweet and delicious, and doesn't have any nasty maltitol in it to spike your blood glucose levels or cause a code brown (if you catch my meaning). I love love love it.

I like to use the chocolate drops in mini chocolate cakes with stevia, the english toffee flavour in coffee or tea, and the vanilla one just taste great in everything.

Ridiculously delicious

This is a good one! The freeze dried strawberry chunks are SO GOOD. The texture leaves a little to be desired, but it’s not enough to ruin a great-tasting bar. I didn’t notice any aftertaste from the stevia, and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's one of my favourite Quest flavours.

One of my favourite Quest bar flavours

Quest bars have a huge range of flavours, and between flavours you can get different textures and aftertastes and all sorts of quirks. Most are nougatty-textured bordering on slightly 'plastic', and I personally find a HUGE difference depending on the type of sweetener they want to use in any given bar. Choc Chip Cookie Dough is an erythritol-sweetened bar, and that makes it one of the best-tasting with the least 'fake' aftertaste. The unsweetened chocolate chunks inside the bar are like little pockets of happiness in each bite, and the texture is a good chewy-but-not-too-chewy approximation for cookie dough batter (as close as you can get with it still being a bar rather than a batter, that is). Like all Quest bars, these will melt in warmer weather-- try melting one on purpose in the microwave and topping with whipped cream. Can anyone say DESSERT?

Tastes better than it smells

It smells medicine-y in the tube, and after it's dissolved in water. The taste though, is surprisingly mild. If you've ever had blueberry pomegranate juice before, it tastes like a very very watered down version of that, which I assume is what nuun were aiming for. More tablets might amp up the taste, but I'd be concerned about that medicine element coming through. One tablet for 500mL was a good amount, I think.

Orange-flavoured, but not overboard

Don't expect a giant orange hit from this-- it's nothing like orange juice or orange-flavoured gatorade. It is however, a lightly flavoured orange with the tiniest citrus tang. Well worth a purchase!

Great product

Some of the reviews for these tablets seem to be expecting liquid gold to come out of their drink bottle. Of course these don't hydrate you more than just water-- YOU'RE STILL DRINKING WATER. This just adds vitamins, minerals and electrolytes to the mix. This flavour is particularly good-- the lemon and lime play off each other nicely to give a really refreshing taste. One of my favourites.
