THIS IS SOOOO MATTIFYING! so much so that i need to write a review for it! I have normal-combination skin (T-zone a bit oily). 【A】I've never seen any mineral product this mattifying! I was literally in shock the moment I applied it to my face. I already knew this has a matte finish and is non greasy which is why i bought it in the first place (hate greasy oily feeling on my face), but I didnt know it was this mattifying, especially considering this is a PHYSICAL sunscreen which is SO RARE! Absolutely a first time! This thing 's mattifying effect is so powerful, lasts over 8h on my face. It performs even better than my expensive oil controlling primer, unbelievable, seriously. 【B】Does it dry me out? Personally no, while its mattifying power is very strong i don't find it drying at all. But it could be just me, because I have perfect normal skin (outside my moderately oily t-zone) that never ever flakes or cracks. Even if I leave my face completely bare without any skincare after cleansing , I would only feel a bit tight in the first couple of hours in where I live with a pretty dry climate about 50-60% humidity. So I personally just never had a drying flaking problem at all to begin with, and this one didn't give me any problem either. So I can't say I'm the perfect judge on this. 【C】But for Combination to DRY skin, *ATTENTION* I somewhat do think this product might not be for you because of how drying it could be for people with no sebum secretion, ESPECIALLY if you have flaking or cracking problems i definitely think this is going to aggravate it. 【D】About the white caste. I saw other uses complained about the whitecast. Yes there is a VERY OBVIOUS faintly pinky very light beige toned whitecaste at first when you just applied it, but 80% of faded out after your skin gets a bit natural sebum to have it warmed up and blended in. Then it leaves some natural tone up brightening effect. 【E】It didnt break me out or cause any discomfort with long hours of use either. So I LOVE IT 【F】So there's two things you need to have for the white cast to fade out: 1. Your skin has to be above medium tone, at least a light tone would be better. FYI my mac shade is NC20. 2. You skin has to have some sebum. Completely dry skin will absolutely fail in fading the white cast. 【G】And if you don't have a generally smooth complexion, the application of this thing might be quite challenging (well cuz you know its mineral based product, those zinc and titanium are going to crease and cling to your dry patches, acnes, huge pores or deep wrinkles). I have none of the above issues so this works perfectly for me. 【so if you have dry skin or very problematic unsmooth skin i think you better steer clear of this...it could look ghostly and uneven..】
