I have finely textured, wavy hair, very slippery and easily weighed down — I can wash my hair and not use any conditioner and it will still feel silky, so with the wrong product, specifically conditioners with silicone, my hair is stick straight, lanky and stringy. But my hair is also very thick and long, so with the right product it is voluminous and full like a lion’s mane.
The end product of this conditioner, after it has completely dried and my hair has been combed out and fully detangled several times, I am VERY pleased with. There is definitely a difference between using no conditioner and using this product, my hair is soft and full and shiny, easy to detangle, just the texture I always hope for after a wash.
However, the experience from washing out the product to completely dry is WEIRD. From soaked in the shower to damp, my hair felt sticky, like I had done an oil treatment and tried to wash it out with only water. I thought that my hair had picked up residue from my body oil & lotion after my shower and co-washed it with this product bc the feeling was so intense. Apparently the oil feeling is just the wet experience with this conditioner. I had to comb out my hair several more times than I usually would, and it took significantly longer to dry, but once fully dried and brushed out, the final result was EXCELLENT.
I will probably use a silicone product just on my ends for a little extra slip & moisture, but this product did exactly what I wanted for my roots & mid-length & does not feel dry after one use.
So, I’m happy with the conditioner, but a warning to new purchasers that the wash & dry experience is odd to get to the final result. If you’re used to styling your hair wet, the texture might present an obstacle.
Also, the smell is delicious! Light berry scent on application that doesn’t linger once dry.
